Annie grew up in Newton playing town and travel (BAYS) soccer before becoming a four-year starter as goalkeeper on Newton South High School’s varsity soccer team and captain her senior year. During this time, Annie was a three-time Dual County League All-Star. Also at Newton South, Annie was a four-year member of the varsity basketball and softball teams and captained both her senior year. She was inducted into the Newton South High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023. After high school, Annie attended Tufts University and for all four years she played on the varsity soccer team and the softball team, and she was captain of both her senior year. For soccer, Annie was the starting goalkeeper her junior and senior years, and in her junior year Tufts made it to the NCAA Division III Final Four. After college, Annie played various sports, including rugby, team handball, and flag football.
Annie brings considerable coaching experience to Newton Girls Academy. She has trained goalies at Tufts University and Newton South High School. In addition, Annie was the head coach of the junior varsity boys middle school soccer team at Shady Hill School in Cambridge in 2012. Annie loves team sports, and she is excited about coaching again and returning to her roots in Newton. Professionally, Annie is a corporate tax attorney. She attended Boston University for law school and a masters in tax law. In her spare time, Annie enjoys spending time with her wife and three dogs, woodworking, and creating costumes.
