Academy Program Overview

The Academy Program is an invitation-only, year-round program (fall, winter & spring) for those girls seeking an additional competitive challenge and a developmental soccer experience beyond their NGS Team.

We have two levels of involvement:

  • Academy teams, for players in grades 3 – 8, and
  • Development Academy teams, for players in grades 2 – 3.

Participants at both levels:

  • must commit to three seasons (fall, winter, spring),
  • are professionally coached,
  • train as a team once a week (in addition to their NGS Travel or Juniors team practices),
  • scrimmage regularly,
  • receive free access to the Techne Futbol App,
  • play futsal and/or indoor soccer in the winter months, and
  • participate on an NGS Travel team or Juniors Grade 2 team.

As part of our strategic partnership with New England Futbol Club (NEFC), our Academy teams (not Development teams) also participate in club games every Sunday (fall & spring) in the New England Club Soccer League (NECSL).

New England Futbol Club

Our partner, New England Futbol Club (NEFC), is a premier soccer club which develops youth soccer players, ages 6 – 21 with training locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. NEFC trains over 3000 youth players and competes in competitive, local and national leagues. NEFC also provides tournaments, player and coach education, and college-placement resources for players.

New England Club Soccer League

The New England Club Soccer League (NECSL) is a growing league with 85 clubs and 2,000 teams. It is committed to working with the players, families, and clubs to provide as many opportunities as possible for players to enjoy soccer in a positive, safe playing environment. The goal of the NECSL is to provide a transparent, collaborative, and merit-based competitive platform for the clubs of the New England area. NECSL’s is sanctioned by US Youth Soccer.
