Returning Players – Current players must indicate their intention to return to the Academy for the 2025 – 2026 season by completing an application form. If a current player does not submit the form, we will assume that they do not want to be considered for a team. We request an early response for roster planning purposes. Athletes that are currently rostered on a Newton Academy team do not need to attend a separate ID Clinic. They should attend their team’s regularly scheduled practices and continue to work hard.

About Us

Designed for Elite Players

Newton Girls Academy is an invitation-only, community-based club program that works in conjunction with the NGS Travel Program to provide professional training and a challenging environment for our highest skilled players.

  • Eligibility: NEFC Newton Academy U9 – U15 teams are offered for players in Grades 2 – 8 who participate in the NGS Travel Program. To be selected, candidates must perform at the top of their age group and usually play with a division 1 or 2 travel team. Players are invited to participate based on skill level and commitment.
  • Commitment: The Academy is a 10-month, three-season (fall, winter, spring) commitment.  Our athletes are placed on competitive teams, which train 1 or 2 times per week and play in NECSL league games through our partnership with the New England Futbol Club (NEFC).

Newton Girls Academy offers grade-based Development Teams for motivated juniors who want an entry-level experience with club soccer.  The focus is on ball mastery and technique development.

  • Eligibility: Development team spots are offered to players in Grades 1 and 2 who participate in the NGS Juniors Program. Spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  There are no tryouts for this age group. Registration opens in late spring.
  • Commitment: Development teams meet weekly in the fall, winter and spring. These are training-only teams.
