Talana is from Fayetteville, North Carolina, where she was a multi‑sport letter winner at her high school – Fayetteville Academy – competing in soccer, volleyball, and basketball. A three‑year captain of her Varsity soccer team, she led Fayetteville Academy to conference championship titles in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and earned MVP honors each of those seasons.
After graduating with high honors, Talana continued her soccer career at Coastal Carolina University, joining the Division I Women’s Soccer program as a forward. She graduated in 2024 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish for Health Professions. A dedicated scholar‑athlete, she earned Dean’s List recognition nearly every semester and was inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, during its inaugural year at CCU.
Talana is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Anatomy & Neurobiology at Boston University while also working as an EMT with Brewster Ambulance Company. She still loves to play soccer in her spare time and is excited to join Newton Academy as an assistant coach for the Spring 2026 season. When she’s not on the field, studying, or on shift, she enjoys learning guitar and relaxing with a good movie.
