Vacation Clinics

Newton Girls Soccer are pleased to announce their August 3-Day Vacation Clinic for 2019. The clinic curriculum will focus on teaching individual techniques and tactics that are vital for all soccer players in a FUN and EXCITING environment. Players will be divided into groups based on age and ability and taught new skills each by experienced Professional Trainers.

Clinic Details:

August 3-Day Vacation Clinic 

Dates: Tuesday 8/6/19- Thursday 8/8/19

Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Ages: Kindergarten to 8th Grade (Players will be grouped by age and / or skill level)

Location: Weeks Field

Cost: $240 (3 days); $180 (2 days); $90 (1 day)

Typical Daily Schedule
  • 9:00 – 9:15 – Warm Up – Small Sided Fun Games and Juggling Challenges
  • 9:15 – 10:15 – Technical/Skills Session Theme of the Day
  • 10:15 – 10:45 – Shooting and Finishing Games
  • 10:45 – 11:15 – Snack, Kids Tricks and Coaches Challenge
  • 11:15 – 12:00 – Large group FUN clinic game
  • 12:00 – 1:00 – Small Sided Scrimmage Games


Newton Girls Soccer supports the camps of many fine clubs, universities and coaches in the area. When possible, Newton Girls Soccer posts information about these camps here and in our e-newsletter as a service to our players and parents.

Summer Select Academy is a professionally led, preparatory soccer program for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls. This program is designed to prepare players for their upcoming Fall Soccer Season. Training sessions and off-field activities aim to develop players physically, technically, tactically, psychologically and socially.

Where and When: The 2019 Summer Select Academy will be 9am-3pm August 27, 28 and 29th (Tuesday through Thursday) at the Fessenden School in Newton.

Space is Limited: The first 52 players to register will be accepted into the Summer Select Academy. Registration opens in February of 2019.

Players that participate in the Summer Select Academy will get the following on a daily basis:

Conditioning Routines focused on injury prevention – 30 minutes
Tactical Training Session – 90 minutes
Development Lectures – Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition, and Exercise Physiology.
Team Building Exercises
Tactical Lectures – Principles of Defending, Principles of Attacking, 11v11 Formations and Styles of Play.
Technical Training Session – 60 minutes
11v11 Games
Goalkeeper Training available for GK’s.
Staff of Licensed, Premier Level Coaches
Written Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses
A typical day includes two training sessions (one in the morning and the other in the afternoon). Our professional coaching staff balances both sessions, so that players are not over stressed physically or mentally. When the players are not on the field they will participate in lectures and group activities that will help them develop as soccer players, as athletes and as social members within the team structure.

Registration Fee for the Summer Select Academy: $350 Scholarships available. Please contact CHSC Director, Rob Sprague, to inquire about financial assistance. The CHSC is dedicated to making sure that player participation is never limited by financial restrictions.

2019 Harvard University Youth Summer Soccer Clinics

The Crimson Soccer School is a great opportunity for fun and soccer development at Harvard University. Our experienced coaching staff will lead a developmental clinic with the emphasis on skill instruction in a fun environment. Current and former Harvard University soccer players will support our coaching staff as counselors and act as great role models for younger players. Players will gain an insight into what it takes to play soccer at the highest level, both on the field and in the classroom. NEW for 2019, five day option available and we will continue to offer drop-off and late pick-up options!

Boston College Women’s Soccer Clinics and Camps!


Our Boston College Women’s Soccer Clinics and Camps provide girls-only soccer programs at Boston College. Our camps and clinics offer a wide range of options. Each of the programs are specifically designed to develop the player in a fun environment. Our experienced staff, comprised of college coaches, offers great insight into the game, while former and current college players act as counselors who are excellent role models for the campers. Our clinics and camps are on a first come first serve basis.

The Youth Residential Camp is designed for competitive players who are eager to learn. The camp will include a mix of group technical sessions, small group training, small-sided games and 11v11 competition. All sessions will be led by Boston College coaches, players and their invited staff. Campers will get to experience life on the BC campus including eating in the dining halls and staying in the dorms under supervision from the staff. Meals and a camp t-shirt will be provided to each camper. (Commuter option available)
