Annual Meeting

JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL MEETING

April 2024 (Date TBD)

RSVP

Dear NGS families,

NGS is a parent-driven, community non-profit organization that has been making a big difference in the lives of Newton’s girls for more than 40 years. Being a part of an NGS team helps girls develop strong bonds with new friends, confidence on and off the field and a love for the game of soccer no matter what their skill level.

Spring the time of year when NGS parents like you can most directly affect the management and direction of our organization. You can do it in two ways:

  1. Help us elect a new Board of Directors. The NGS Bylaws allow all parents who have a girl currently registered on a team to vote at the Annual Meeting.
  2. Volunteer to become part of this remarkable organization. The Annual Meeting is also a great opportunity for parents who are interested in supporting girls soccer and athletics to meet some great people and learn about what volunteering with NGS entails and about open positions.

NGS is a volunteer organization run by parents. We are looking for more people to get involved for the 2023-2024 season. It’s a rewarding experience for you and your child. Please come to our annual meeting or reach out to registrar@newtongirlssoccer.org to see how you can help. The opportunities range with various levels of commitment based on your already very busy schedules.

NGS serves a wide range of players, from K to H.S. age, from most casual recreational player to girls who may someday play in college. We are also unique among the grassroots (“town”) soccer programs in Eastern Massachusetts in that we focus only on girls, who have unique needs and characteristics as athletes. Studies show that sports programs like NGS give girls tremendous benefits, including better grades in school, improved leadership and social skills, lifelong health advantages and even better careers.

We hope you will join us in this worthy cause. Like the hundreds of Board Members and volunteers who have come before us, it is our job to be good stewards and pass a thriving program along to the next generation of volunteers, parents and players.

Sincerely,

NGS Board of Directors
